Barricade strategies

So, now that the new barricade and cover system is up, anyone have any creative or notably effective barrier placements? Here's the one I've been using.

How do you defend from raids?, it doesn't seem like there is any storage in range of your fire.

At first, I was like 'oh cool'. Then, I discovered from raids that M24s + Glasses was so damn effective, I ended up abandoning all types of barricade. Conclusion: Corner camping still rules.

I haven't been playing for long, so I still have protection up. But I have majority of my resources inside and my food and water are all inside. To overlook what's outside, I have my leader that has one of the 20-range rifles to guard all of the supplies.

NOTE: This is the strategy i am looking to achieve. I haven't quite gotten the weapons nor survivors yet
